It’s our mission! Waypoint Kid’s Place Ministry seeks to encourage children in their love for Jesus and for each other. This summer, exciting opportunities are coming. Your toddlers and preschoolers will love hearing from the Bible in classes developed especially for them! Kindergarten – 5th grade children will fully enjoy Biblical Improv Theater month. The children’s summer schedule starts on August 4 and ends on September 8, 2024.
Nursery and Toddler Time | Sundays at 9 a.m. and 10:15 a.m.
Children’s Grow Hour Time | Sundays at 9 a.m.
Children’s Worship Time | Sundays at 10:30 a.m.
First Visits & Regular Check-In
Visitors, we use the Breeze web-based check-in system for all ages. A check-in desk is designated for you in the foyer. We can walk you through creating a family profile on your first visit. Regular attendees, please plan to arrive early. Please stop by the check-in desk so we can get your family’s information into our system. We are available to help.
Nursery and Toddlers
The nursery is staffed all morning for the families of infants and toddlers (infants—3 years of age). We will show you the Children’s Ministry Wing during your first visit before the morning’s events. We’ll then show you to your child’s classroom and discuss safety and pick-up procedures.
Children’s Grow Hour Details
During the adult Grow Hour classes every Sunday, all year long, we offer dynamic Sunday School programming for children (2 years of age — 5th grade). Classes break out by age groups. Kids are making friends — new and old! We also believe parents have the greatest influence on a child’s life, so we’ll be ready to listen. Grow Hour teachers use the time from 10:00 to 10:30 to prepare their room for an engaging lesson for your children. We’d appreciate your help! Would you please supervise your children during the break? Enjoy Café Berea with your kids!
Children’s Worship Time Details
For preschool and elementary school kids (4 years of age—5th grade), you will begin your Worship service with your families, gathering in the main Worship Center for music and Scripture reading. Then, you will be dismissed to go with your age groups and adult leaders.
Summer Schedule - August 4 - September 8
Children in Nursery through Kindergarten will still have a Children’s Worship Time. Our August series will be engaging for your children in First Grade or older. Please have them attend the service with you. We will have some kid-friendly handouts and crayons in the foyer for the summer series.
Summer “Graduation”
Move-Up Sunday is in early June. On that day, all the kids move up to the next class/grade at church. Our children’s summer program may include outdoor activities. (Fun, but there is potential for water or dust to come home with you.) We hold Fall Kick-Off Sunday in September, the Sunday following Labor Day, and the regular schedule/activities resume.
